Students will receive a diploma after all financial obligations to the University have been met, and the Office of Records and Registration has fully verified the student's eligibility to academically graduate. Diplomas and transcripts with degree posted will be available approximately 6 weeks after the degree date.

You are in a modal window. Members of the official party will sit on stage; candidates and guests will be seated in chairs in the audience facing the stage. The stage party and faculty will lead the recessional, followed by the graduates. At the conclusion of the ceremony, graduates will have one hour to take photos with their guests, faculty, and fellow colleagues. More specific instructions will be emailed to graduates approximately one month before the ceremony.

If you receive an honors designation for GPA, this will be noted in the commencement program. You will also be provided with an Honor Cord the day of Graduation if you meet the requirements. All students who have met all graduation eligibility requirements will have their names printed in the program. Graduation programs will be available to pick up on graduation day at our registration table.

Graduation is a time to celebrate and enjoy your achievement. It is also a time to reflect on that achievement and to acknowledge the help and support provided by family, friends, faculty, and staff. You are asked to honor the spirit of this important occasion by conducting yourself in a manner that is respectful to your guests and the guests of others, of your fellow graduates, and of yourself. Please email alumni xusom. Graduates can have a family member, friend, or mentor, hood them on the day of the Graduate Ceremony. This person MUST have a valid medical degree. We need to know the name and credentials of your special hooder. We will NOT accept hooders the day of the ceremony.

Please include your hooder in your final number of guests. Hooders will not be issued a cap and gown and are asked to dress appropriately business casual, no jeans or sneakers.

There will be a professional photographer and videographer on the day of the ceremony. All graduates will receive digital copies of those photos. Further information will be provided for additional photo requests following the weeks after graduation. Yes, students who have completed at least 48 weeks of their rotations are eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony.

You will NOT receive your diploma the day of the ceremony. Once you have been cleared by the Office of the Registrar, you will receive your official diploma in the mail.

Please understand that your completion and diploma dates and the date of the graduation are independent of one another.
